With extensive experience visiting classrooms and teaching basic American Sign Language both in-person and remotely, I have had the privilege of engaging directly and meaningfully with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. Through these valuable interactions, I share important insights about mainstream educational experiences and proudly serve as a positive role model, demonstrating the power, beauty, and potential of ASL. I am deeply passionate about encouraging DHH students to believe wholeheartedly in their unlimited possibilities and bright futures.
Additionally, I have conducted numerous workshops for special education professionals, parents, and community members, helping to foster greater understanding, support, and inclusivity within the broader community. To further enhance my knowledge and skills, I have also participated in ASL music camps, driven by my huge passion for the intersection of music and sign language. This unique experience enriches my teaching approach, allowing me to connect with students through the expressive and rhythmic elements of ASL in musical contexts.
