Introduction ASL BASIC & Activities Workshop

I recently conducted a workshop designed for parents of children in Special Education and Early Intervention programs, focusing on ages birth to 3 years old. The session included foundational American Sign Language (ASL) instruction tailored to support early communication. Parents were also guided on effective strategies to encourage language acquisition, beginning with infants and continuing through age 12. Emphasis was placed on integrating ASL naturally into daily interactions, fostering both receptive and expressive language skills, and creating a supportive environment for children with diverse learning needs. This approach empowers parents to actively participate in their child's communication development from the earliest stages onward.
