ASL MUSIC CAMP - My First ASL Song Summer 2022

I was so nervous but determined to do my best. For my first ASL song performance, I had to choose a song and present it in front of an audience at a restaurant in Austin, Texas. The experience challenged me to apply everything I had learned, from finger spelling to expressive signing and timing with the music. Standing there, signing my chosen song, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety, but also pride in my progress. It was a memorable moment that boosted my confidence and deepened my appreciation for American Sign Language as a beautiful form of communication and art.
